HYPE GTR — RUN 18 Floyd Rose
The Hype GTR is back in a Floyd Rose edition!
Our Run 18 Hype GTRs feature six stunning colours, all built with a Mahogany body (including two exotic variants in Walnut and Quilt Maple), a 3-piece Maple set neck with carbon reinforcing rods, and either an Ebony or Maple fretboard depending on the model’s finish.
As always, these guitars come equipped with our own Ormsby hardware and the in-house designed stock pickup pairing: Hot Rock Humbucker (Bridge) + De La Crème Humbucker (Neck).
Why the stock pickups work so well
This pairing is built for real-world use: a bridge pickup that brings punch + drive, and a neck pickup that stays sweet, clear, and musical. On a Floyd guitar, that balance matters — it keeps you out of “too bright / too thin” territory.

Stock pickups: the tone you’re buying
This isn’t an “upgrade later” setup — it’s chosen because it works on stage and in the studio. The bridge gives you the hit and aggression, while the neck keeps the guitar musical and expressive.
A moderate-to-high output humbucker built for blues, rock, punk and metal, with overwound mismatched coils that give it a bold, amp-driving voice.
