Custom Setup (Hardtail & Floyd)

Configure the perfect string setup for your instrument! Our Custom Setup service allows you to select the exact string gauges for your 6, 7 or 8 string guitar.

How it works:

1. Select the gauge for strings 1-6 (first six strings) from the available options.
2. Choose the configuration type based on the number of strings on your instrument.
3. Choose your bridge type (Hard tail / Floyd Rose).
4. Specify your tuning in the "Strings & Tuning Notes" field (required).
5. If you've chosen a 7 or 8 string configuration, specify exactly which gauge you want in the "Notes" field.

Configuration details:

• Standard 6-String: Includes only strings 1-6
• 7-String Standard (52-62): Includes a standard 7th string (specify which exact gauge you want: 52, 54, 56, 58, 60 or 62)
• 7-String Heavy (64-68): Includes a heavy 7th string (specify if you want 64 or 68)
• 8-String Standard (64-72): Includes a 7th and 8th string (specify which exact gauges you want for both. (8th gauge: 64, 66, 68, 70, 72))
• 8-String Heavy - 74: Includes a heavy 8th string that requires machineheads modifications
• 8-String Heavy - 80: Includes an extra-heavy 8th string that requires machineheads modifications

2026 pricing:

• Stock setup: FREE
• Upgraded setup (6 & 7 string): $89 AUD
• Upgraded setup (8 string): $99 AUD
• Floyd Rose setups: + $20 AUD (added automatically when you select Floyd Rose)

String gauge surcharges (when applicable):

• 64–72 gauge strings: + $8 AUD
• 72–74 gauge strings: + $20 AUD (requires bridge or tuner modifications)
• 80 gauge strings: + $30 AUD (requires bridge or tuner modifications)
• Note: 80 gauge is the largest we offer.

Important:

Please ALWAYS specify in the "Strings & Tuning Notes" field which exact gauges you desire for the 7th and 8th string. For example: "7th string: 56, 8th string: 70".

If you're not sure which gauges are suitable for your tuning, write it in the "Notes" field and our experts will choose the most appropriate gauges for you.
