A PAF-like neck humbucker with a little more output — sweet singing leads and clean, musical rhythms.

The sound
The De La Creme is similar to our Old School model, but with a little more output for a very PAF-like voice. It’s made for sweet, singing neck leads and warm, usable clean tones that don’t get muddy.
Construction-wise, we use 42AWG wire, scatterwound and lightly wax potted, with 1018 steel pole pieces. With four conductor wiring as standard, you can get creative with splits, parallels, and custom switching.

Good to know
CustomShop pickups are made and wound by hand in-house in our Perth workshop (not the GTR range). We generally keep pickups in stock, but some may be made to order (especially 8-string).
Please note: Our pickups come angled to suit MULTISCALE. If you require a REGULAR STRAIGHT pickup, email us after ordering with your order number and the model of your guitar so we can get the pole spacing correct.
