Why this one matters

Personal collection guitars always tell the truth. There's nowhere to hide — the timber choice, the hardware, the pickup combination, the feel. This one is built like a serious working instrument, but kept in collector-grade condition.

Bottom line: a real Perry-built guitar, now being offered in near-new condition.

Pickup pairing / Nunchucker + De La Creme

This is a pairing that makes sense on a guitar Perry kept for himself: bridge punch and urgency, backed by a smooth, musical neck voice that keeps the whole guitar versatile instead of one-dimensional.

Nunchucker / Bridge
Humbucker / AlNiCo 8 / 9.3k

The Nunchucker is Ormsby's most popular bridge pickup for rock, hard rock, and metal, and it's easy to understand why. Moderate output that's low enough to retain clarity but hot enough to drive your amplifier, with the AlNiCo 8 magnet and adjustable slug poles giving it a little extra bite. 42awg wire, tight scatterwound and wax potted. It stays present and defined whether you're pushing rhythm parts or pushing gain.

Best for

Modern rock, hard rock, punchy rhythm work, and articulate bridge leads.

What you'll hear

Fast attack, controlled low end, and a bridge voice that stays present and alive under gain.

De La Creme / Neck
Humbucker / AlNiCo 2 / 8.0k

A PAF-voiced neck pickup with a little more output than a traditional old-school wind. Sweet singing lead tones, clean rhythm clarity, and coil-splitting that opens up single-coil voices you wouldn't expect from a humbucker. The inspiration when winding this one? The intro to Sweet Child of Mine. That says everything about where it sits tonally. The De La Creme pairs naturally with the Nunchucker and gives the guitar a genuine second voice.

Best for

Cleans, melodic leads, warm solos, layered parts, and expressive neck work.

What you'll hear

Sweet highs, musical mids, and a neck tone that stays clear without going thin.

Why this pairing works: the Nunchucker gives the bridge drive and presence, while the De La Creme keeps the neck position smooth and genuinely useful, exactly the kind of balance you'd expect in a personal keeper build.
⚙️ A Perry-built keeper, released.
