QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS

What first got you into heavy metal?

Hearing Flight of the Rat by Deep Purple. That wild, unstoppable energy lit a fire in me. I knew right then: I want to do that.

Top influences when growing up?

Blackmore, Page, and early 70s rock for sure — but before that, I was deep into classical, ragtime, and boogie-woogie. Outside of music? Storytellers and visual artists have always moved me.

First guitar?

A nylon-string classical guitar that belonged to my sister! I commandeered it, taught myself, and never looked back. I don’t have it anymore, but I remember it vividly.

What’s your current live rig?

I use a mix of custom Ormsby guitars: GG6, GG6FG, GG7, and a matte black SX I call Blackie. These days, I mostly record and perform with smaller amps — classic valve combos, sometimes a Quad Cortex or plugin rig, depending on the room.

What’s next for you?

More music, more connection. I’m always writing and recording — and I want to keep pushing the message of tone, truth, and feel. I'm also continuing my collaboration with Ormsby and finding new ways to express what I’ve still got to say through the guitar.
